The Edge Grove Nursery is for children aged 3-4 years – children are welcome to join in the term in which they turn three, provided they meet our assessment criteria.
It offers a warm, family atmosphere in a home from home environment in Aldenham Village, just a couple of minutes’ drive from the main Edge Grove school site. The Nursery is a child-centred environment where each child has the opportunity to develop confidence, independence and curiosity about the world around them. It offers vibrant and stimulating learning zones, all inter-connected, allowing free flow around the building. There is independent choice of activity for children and an exciting, bright and modern environment. The Nursery is staffed by two teachers and a team of learning assistants. Lessons with specialist teachers include Performing Arts, Forest School and PE.
Our talented and dedicated Nursery staff place the happiness, safety, health and emotional wellbeing of every child at the centre of all they do. They recognise the importance of these early years in the development of character and individuality and in building social skills.
We love to welcome visitors to our Nursery and urge you to come along and feel the buzz for yourselves!
When children start at our Nursery, they attend five mornings each week. Our school day starts at 8.45am but parents / carers are welcome to drop off their child at any time from 8.00am onwards; breakfast (at no extra charge) is available from 8.00am to 8.30am. Most children, particularly in the term before moving up to Reception stay for the afternoon session until 3.30pm at least four days a week.
After-school provision is available to Nursery children every day until 6.00pm.
