The Friends of Edge Grove
The Friends of Edge Grove, or FOEG for short, is an association of parents who work to build friendships and a sense of community within the School, through a broad range of social events, to which Edge Grove families are invited.
Past events have included:
- Parent Quiz Nights
- Christmas Fair
- Summer Fairs
- Easter Egg Hunt
- Outdoor Cinema Afternoon
- Family Camping
- Summer Ball.
As well as these informal social events for the school community, the FOEG also exists to fundraise for School ‘extras,’ to enrich the children’s learning experiences within the School. Fundraising money in the past few years has gone towards a new Forest School shelter, a grand piano, and play and sports equipment from which the whole community can benefit.
FOEG is also responsible for managing the Second Hand Uniform Shop which provides a useful and value for money service for parents, and also raises significant funds for the School. The Shop opens weekly in term time on Wednesday mornings, and also on set dates during the School holidays.
