Your child’s early years are such a special time and those of us privileged to work with 3-5 year olds see the world open up before them as they explore through purposeful play. Our planning cycle is increasingly shaped by the children’s interests and ideas, and we provide breadth and depth with a selection of adult initiated themes each term
The teaching ethos in Nursery and Reception is varied and practical. Children are encouraged to explore, question and enjoy their learning. Alongside literacy and numeracy and the creative arts, children enjoy lessons from subject specialists in languages, PE and music. Digital learning is fully integrated in to the school day.
Early Years teachers observe, nurture, extend and develop children in their first learning experiences. This enables teachers to prepare a detailed profile of each child which forms the basis of their future learning.
